Luggage straps are considered an ideal way to identify the luggage on busy carousels. The straps offer additional protection for the suitcase or the luggage, in case damage occurs with the zippers or other locking mechanisms available in the luggage. There is also peace of mind for the travelers that the luggage will not open accidentally when placed in cars during a long journey.
Luggage straps come in different styles, designs, colors, and sizes. It can be shoulder or motorcycle luggage straps. The materials with which the straps are made differ. Mostly, these luggage straps are made using nylon or genuine leather. Leather straps offer an executive look. There are leatherette straps made of good quality reinforced vinyl material. These types of straps are not that expensive. But the straps provide a professional and elegant look, similar to leather straps.
Luggage straps may come with elastic features and may have adjustable holes. It may also come with built-in identification tags. Those straps without this built-in feature facilitate the users to attach tags with the luggage. There are locking straps, which finds more usage for hard sided bags. Some locking straps come with TSA (Transportation Security Administration) certified locks. The TSA locks are a special kind of lock that finds usage for checking the luggage at airports by security officers without breaking the locks. In addition to the TSA locks, easy clip and two- or three-dial locks are used in straps.
